I'm Jeremy Arnold, currently a second year student in the MAT program here at ETSU. My concentration is on 7-12 English, though I also have a B.A. in History. I plan to do an add-on endorsement in that content area as soon as I get my initial licensure. I may do some add-ons in a few other social studies content areas as well.
This is actually my second blog through Google. Since I plan to be a football coach once I finish up my degree and get out into the workforce, I started a blog related to football from a coaching perspective back in the fall and was doing that in my spare time. However, I've not updated, or even looked at it, in months. My last post was back in Feb. 2010 and I'd made a whopping $1.83 off adsense and page clicks. Woohoo! Sadly, my number of followers has been cut in half after one of them dropped me. I hope the experience doing that stuff before helps me with some of the course materials for this class. The blogging software was pretty simple and user friendly.
Besides school, I am also an administrative GA over in the Center For Academic Achievement. You may not recognize that name, but we were formerly known as The Writing and Communication Center, The Math Lab, and University Tutoring Services before all the different departments were combined into one service. The next year at work looks... interesting. Yes... that's the word... I am really looking forward to it and to getting back to work, though.
Outside of school, football, and work I do have some other interests. I like to write and I'm slowly progressing on both a graphic novel and a novel. I've played music in a few different punk and garage bands over the years and I'd like to get back into that if I can find the time.
